With guidance and oversight from the Mayor’s Office, Made in NY: Fashion lives within New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), the City’s primary engine for driving economic growth, entrepreneurship, and job creation.
In collaboration with the private sector, Made in NY: Fashion is responsible for creating, developing, and implementing an array of specific programs to fortify fashion’s design, manufacturing, and educational sectors.

We want to capitalize on the fashion world’s increasing support for local enterprises and local consumption. The mission of Made in NY: Fashion is to make people aware of not only the beauty of their clothing but also of the economic impact of supporting and purchasing clothes that are predominantly designed, embellished, finished, or manufactured in New York City.
Made in NY is an iconic logo developed by Radical Media and owned by the City of New York, which has been in use since 2005 as a symbol of local production.
Participating in Made in NY: Fashion provides qualifying businesses with the Made in NY mark of distinction. Made in NY fortifies and unites fashion designers that design and manufacture, embellish or finish 75% of their products locally, in turn supporting and strengthening New York City’s fashion ecosystem.
